    and when the rider turns his head to look for traffic, the pipes become a restriction, or outright dangerous. - even worse if the pillion passenger turns their head because they are gawking at something on the side of the road and the pipes pull on the rider's helmet

    Some of the best looking bikes ever made. I understand they were a bit troublesome to keep running, but beautiful.
