    This was back when buying a Cadillac was as prestigious as owning one not the re trimmed rebadged Chevrolets of today.
    A Cadillac was in a class all by itself Lincoln was the closest competitor Both had distinct styles. Today every make and every model of every manufacture may as well roll down the same assembly line

    Not only off the same assembly line - they all look pretty much the same - all the lights pulled up and over and 'round the corner. All bumps and curves just to look "not flat"

    That is either 1967 or 1968. Those were the only 2 years of that Eldo that had hidden headlights and the Coupe DeVille had those cornering lamps
