I’ve seen this vehicle in the flesh.
Very impressive,V8 transaxle set up lots of style and still in excellent condition.
Many features of today’s vehicles were in the specifications including a very early navigation system.
Such a shame Holden is now gone, along with the demise of Australia’s passenger vehicle manufacturing which was once a huge industry.
I thought this page was an interesting quick read about the Hurricane. Check out the crazy shifter linkage, and that's on an automagic transmission. I can't image how they would have designed a manual shifter. I looked up the engine, and it's a tiny 253ci / 4.1L V8 that makes about 180hp. I love the cab that lifts up. Take that, all you Accord boys with your gullwings!
