My grandmother had one of those. I remember she and my mom complaining that they wanted an electric so my Uncle removed the gas engine and mounted an electric motor on it then Grandpa gave me the engine which I promptly mounted on a bicycle

Saw one that had a 2 stroke engine in it at the calif ag show many years ago. That thing was really screamin and the washer was slowly churning. I thought it was one of the coolest things I saw. Those rollers are dangerous! Long ago my sister was messin with one. I just heard some yelling and when I looked the machine had her whole arm swallowed. I pulled the plug and opened the arms up to get her arm out. Just some bruises and a chipped tooth. So consider those true monsters coming after you !

That's where the saying "don't get yer tit in the ringer"came from.

Man, it's neat that you did that!
The pic is of me in 1976-7, with a 2 hp Briggs mounted.

The coolest thing is that it's the same bicycle that my dad mounted a washing machine motor on in ~1947, after grandad put an electric motor on the washing machine for grandmom!
