One morning the apprentice pick-up bus was 15 minutes early, so many of us missed it, we got 14 apprentices into a Reliant Robin van! I've owned Reliant's, 4 Scimitar's and loved driving them.

I always wondered why the single wheel is in front. If you're determined to build a three wheeler it seems it would be more stable with two wheels mounted in the front.

Well they did make a 4 wheeled version called the Kitten which was much more stable.

Both BSA and Morgan did just that and they were very stable

They also have/had a much lower COG, Reliant delivery van 3 wheelers pre WW2 are even taller, cubic capacity being more important in such a commercial vehicle. https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...psfe664bb0.jpg
