[Leather Working] Small item extension clamp

    Hi,
To be used together with the stitching clamp, here is a small accessory intended for clamping small items, especially belt loops.

It is made out of chestnut tree wood.

It is used between the main jaws of the stitching clamp, and allows to pass through the loop and clamp the part to be stitched to close the loop.
Several widths can be made to cope with different belt widths. This one is 30mm.
I must say that this is a copy of a commercial design available.

Nice device christophe, ive made a few knife sheaths but never got the hang of using an awl so i would cheat by drilling 1mm holes on the drillpress... My fingers were appreciative!!

Beautiful work Christophe even if it is a copy of some other design...outstanding craftsmanship. Seems pretty versatile to me and being able to changes sizes and shapes of the inner clamp is a big plus. Like the cork pin cushion for your awl too.

Thanks for the great pics and write up!

Nice work! The concept is brilliant. The execution very respectful of the long traditions of pride and craftsmanship. Bravo.
